Silver Valley Unified School District serves approximately 2,200 students across seven schools in the High Desert of San Bernardino County. Spanning more than 3,200 square miles, the district serves the communities of Daggett, Yermo, Newberry Springs, Calico, Fort Irwin, and the Marine Corps Logistics Base. Its schools support a geographically diverse population that includes rural communities and military-connected families.

Silver Valley USD is committed to preparing students to become confident, collaborative, and creative learners while providing academic, social-emotional, and physical supports that promote student success. The district also emphasizes family and community partnerships and is implementing Community Schools strategies at several sites, including Newberry Springs Elementary and Yermo School.
