Community Schools Framework
The Community Schools Framework is grounded in both the Four Pillars and the Capacity Building Strategies. The Four Pillars define what Community Schools focus on - supporting the whole child through integrated student supports, family and community engagement, collaborative leadership, and expanded learning time and opportunities.
The Capacity Building Strategies guide how this work is implemented and sustained over time by building shared commitment, understanding, and priorities, centering community-based learning, collaborative leadership sustaining staff and resources, and strategic community partnerships.
Together, these components help schools and districts create coordinated, community-driven approaches that support student success and well-being.
