Who We Are and What We Do

The Southern Inland Regional Technical Assistance Center (SI-RTAC) supports the growth and implementation of Community Schools across the Southern Inland region, including San Bernardino, Riverside, Inyo, and Mono counties.

SI-RTAC is housed within the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS) under the Learning Systems and Supports (LSS) department. Through this structure, we work in partnership with districts, schools, and community organizations to provide guidance, resources, and technical assistance that strengthen supports for students and families.

Our goal is to support schools in building strong partnerships, aligning resources, and creating environments where all students can thrive.

We believe strong Community Schools are built through collaboration, trust, and shared leadership. Our approach is centered on partnering with districts, schools, and communities to support their unique strengths and needs.

We work alongside teams to build capacity, strengthen systems, and create sustainable practices that support the whole child. Through ongoing support, we help schools align resources, deepen partnerships, and create meaningful opportunities for student and family engagement.

We do this by:

  • Building strong relationships with districts and community partners

  • Providing ongoing technical assistance and coaching

  • Facilitating professional learning, convenings, and shared spaces

  • Supporting planning, implementation, and continuous improvement

  • Centering student, family, and community voice in the work

Below is a list of districts within the SI-RTAC that have been awarded the California Community Schools Partnership Program CCSPP grant. Since 2021, SI-RTAC has been supporting districts in implementing the Community schools model by providing guidance, resources, and technical assistance. The cohorts listed here reflect SI-RTAC's continued commitment to advancing educational equity, expanding opportunities, and fostering strong, collaborative partnerships across the Southern Inland region.
